Description:

In the oldest interior design program in America, today's students become tomorrow's design leaders. Parsons' AAS Interior Design program combines the goals of architecture and decoration. Students learn space planning, rendering, drafting, and computer-aided design, and study materials, textiles, decorative arts, lighting, and more. By learning how to balance these elements, our students succeed in meeting the psychological and physiological needs of the client without betraying creative sensibilities. Graduates of the AAS program work with architectural and design firms or in project management; others start their own businesses. Students who successfully complete the AAS degree in Interior Design plus four years of work experience are qualified to sit for the NCIDQ Exam. Passing the exam permits licensing as an Interior Designer by the state of NY. Learn about all of Parsons’ AAS programs, plus open houses on campus and online.
