Most undergraduate students at Parsons begin his or her art and design education with the Foundation year. The program ensures that students have the necessary methods, materials, technical and problem-solving skills for success in BFA programs. Students cultivate visual thinking and develop practical art and design skills common to all fields of study and professional practice. In the Foundation program, they find an environment that is conducive to learning and the critical exchange of ideas.
