Visiting Parsons
Prospective students are welcome to visit Parsons The New School for Design. The Office of Admission provides tours, information sessions, and portfolio preparation workshops and reviews in order to introduce students to Parsons.

How to Get Here
Parsons Office of Admission is located at 72 Fifth Avenue (on the corner of 13th Street and Fifth Avenue) in New York City's Greenwich Village (view map at Yahoo), and is easily accessible via public transportation.
By subway (New York City Transit): L, N, Q, R, W, 4, 5, 6 to 14th Street-Union Square: Walk west along 14th Street. At Fifth Avenue, turn left. The Office of Admission is at the corner of 13th Street and Fifth Avenue.
F, L, V to 14th Street and Sixth Avenue: Walk east along 14th Street. At Fifth Avenue, turn right. The Office of Admission is at the corner of 13th Street and Fifth Avenue.
By PATH trains (from New Jersey): Take the PATH Train to 14th Street and Sixth Avenue: Walk east along 14th Street. At Fifth Avenue, turn right. The Office of Admission is at the corner of 13th Street and Fifth Avenue.
By Bus: The following buses serve Parsons:
M1, M6, M9 to Union Square
M2, M3, M5, M7, M14 to Fifth Avenue/14th Street
M6 to Sixth Avenue/14th Street
New Jersey Transit: Take a NJ Transit train to Pennsylvania Station (New York). Walk east from Seventh Avenue exit to N, Q, R, W subways or PATH downtown. Take N, Q, R, W to 14th Street-Union Square or PATH to 14th Street. Follow above directions to the school.
You can also take NJ Transit to Hoboken terminal or Pennsylvania Station (Newark), and switch to PATH.
Metro-North Railroad: Take Metro-North to Grand Central Terminal. Transfer to 4, 5, or 6 trains downtown, to 14th Street-Union Square. Follow above directions to the school.
Long Island Railroad (LIRR) and Amtrak: Take an LIRR or Amtrak train to Pennsylvania Station (New York). Exit on Seventh Avenue and walk east to N, Q, R, W subways or PATH downtown. Take N, Q, R, W to 14th Street-Union Square or PATH to 14th Street. Follow above directions to the school.
Driving information: Parsons is accessible from all major highways and avenues in Manhattan. Go to Mapquest or Expedia for specific driving directions.

Traffic on Fifth Avenue is one way southbound; traffic on 13th Street is one way westbound. There are several pay parking garages along 13th Street and in the area. There are also on-street parking meters nearby, but on-street parking is scarce on weekdays.
